Our great grandparents and grandparents  were born in Campobasso, Italy well over 100 years ago. They passed along family values that regularly brought the entire family together around the dinner table. We still use the original family recipe for the gravy.

At a young age of 5, every sunday I cooked with my fathers 4 sisters, my grandma and mother. I learned to make homemade bread, pasta, and of course our delicious marinara sauce! I began at a very young age and continued throughout my life. The name " Caterino & Julian" is in honor of two family's that became one. 3 of my fathers 4 sisters married 3 Julian brothers. They all stayed married for over 60 years, until they all passed.

Every Sunday since I can remember, I cooked with all of them while my father and his brother in laws golfed while my mother and her sisters played pinochle. It was a routine! My mom was the best off all who mentored me as I got older. In my early 50's I opened Caterinos Italian Grill in Southern Pines, North Carolina and owned and operated the business for 10 years. I developed the sauce there with All-Natural ingredients imported directly from Italy, including the tomatoes and pomace oil.
